Company Policies / Terms and Conditions


Purchasing
All equipment is built to order. All equipment orders require a non-refundable deposit of half of the total amount of the issued estimate down to start. The remainder of the invoice is due before equipment is shipped. All supply items such as heat resistant clothing, hand tools, small parts, ect. ordered through the Northwest Iron Works, LLC website may take up to three weeks to manufacture if such parts are not in stock and once such ordered parts are in production the order cannot be canceled without incurring cancellation fees (see Order Cancellation and Return Policies). Net 30 terms are available to companies upon credit approval and are only granted after a purchase history of one year with Northwest Iron Works, LLC. Net 30 is only granted to purchase supply products such as gloves, hand tools, hoods, ect. from Northwest Iron Works, LLC. Net 30 is not granted to purchase Equipment. Payment for smaller supply items such as gloves, hand tools, hoods, ect. are paid in full through the Northwest Iron Works, LLC website or through phone orders. Northwest Iron Works, LLC accepts all major credit cards, personal checks, business checks, and PayPal. All prices subject to change without notice.

Crating and Shipping
All equipment requires crating to prepare for shipping and is shipped FOB from Eugene, OR. All equipment is subject to crating fees.  Northwest Iron Works, LLC shall not be liable for any damages or loss due to fire, act of God, accident, theft, delay of delivery, company labor strike, act of war or other government acts. Custom charges are the responsibility of the purchaser. The purchaser takes on all transportation risks and additional fees such as lift gate fees, reweigh fees, residential drop-off fees, labor fees, ect.  All transportation damage/loss claims must be filed with the freight /shipping company by the purchaser.  All equipment and products should be inspected by the purchaser before signing the freight/shipping bill. Once the shipping bill is signed the purchaser has agreed to accept the product in the condition it was delivered. Shipping fees may differ from estimate and will be finalized before product is shipped. If the shipping fees are higher when product is ready for shipping the purchaser will be responsible for those added fees. These higher fees usually incur due to fuel cost increases. Northwest Iron Works, LLC ships small items through UPS and USPS. All small items are insured through these shipping companies for the value of the product and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to collect for damages or loss during transit. Freight items are shipped through major freight companies that service each geographical area. Each freight company carries insurance of $20.00 per pound of total weight for each product shipped. Additional insurance could be purchased if needed.

Order Cancellation and Returns
All products offered by Northwest Iron Works, LLC which are made to order which will carry an expense of manufacturing materials and time. If the purchaser decides to cancel an order for any reason the cancellation must be approved by Northwest Iron Works, LLC and if cancellation is approved the purchaser will incur the following cancellation fees: 20% of the purchase price for any order canceled that has not gone into production and/or has not had material ordered. 50% of the purchase price for any order canceled that the material for the order has been ordered by Northwest Iron Works, LLC. 100% of the purchase price for any order canceled after fabrication has started on the order.  If the purchaser decides to return a product bought from Northwest Iron Works, LLC he or she must have approval from Northwest Iron Works, LLC to return the product. If a return approval is granted by Northwest Iron Works, LLC the product must return in new condition and all freight/shipping fees will be the responsibility of the purchaser.  All returned items will incur a restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price and all moneys owed to the purchaser after the authorized return is complete will be provided via a store credit with Northwest Iron Works, LLC.

Installation and Support
Northwest Iron Works, LLC and its employees are not licensed electricians or plumbers and will not preform professional licensing jobs or installations. Northwest Iron Works, LLC offers technical support over the phone or on location. On-site technical support will incur traveling, logging, living expenses, and an hourly wage set by Northwest Iron Works, LLC. Northwest Iron Works, LLC is not responsible for the unpacking or installation of equipment sold to the purchaser and recommends hiring local licensed contractors to complete such work.

Liability
Northwest Iron Works, LLC shall not be held liable for misuse, improper installation, incorrect supplied fuel or electricity, improper maintenance, negligence, property damages/loss or bodily harm while operating equipment. Northwest Iron Works, LLC also shall not be held liable for duties performed by outside independent contractors hired by Northwest Iron Works, LLC or hired by the purchaser. Northwest Iron Works, LLC shall not be liable for parts and devices manufactured by other companies used to complete such equipment.

Warranty
All equipment manufactured by Northwest Iron Works, LLC carries a one year manufacturer’s defect warranty. All other items distributed by Northwest Iron Works, LLC carries the manufacturer’s warranty, usually one to three years depending on the manufacturer’s warranty policies. Refractory parts and castings including thermocouples and crucibles carry no warranty due to the natural break down of refractory made products. Any alteration to products sold, not authorized by Northwest Iron Works, LLC may void all warranties. Proper maintanence of equipment is required throughout the life of the equipment. If equipment is misused or not properly maintained the warranty may be voided by Northwest Iron Works, LLC.
